Each year the Zeta Nu Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho recognizes community members who act as an inspiration to our members and model how we want to impact change. This year we are honoring three outstanding educators and an outstanding student, based on the criteria below.
Our Outstanding Educator award is given to an educator in traditional, K-12 or Post-secondary schools or in non-traditional education (youth work, social work, ministry). The educator should have at least 7 years of experience in the Greater Boston Area and/or New England and played an instrumental role in creating developmental and educational opportunities for underserved communities.
Our Outstanding Student award is given to a High School or College Student with outstanding academic achievement (3.0 on a 4.0 scale or at least B+ equivalent) and/or significant community service (recording over 100 hours during the academic year).
